Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the written Word of God. All 66 books and every word in the Bible are inerrant, pure, holy, divinely inspired and providentially preserved by God. The Bible is the final authority in all faith and practice. The Authorized Version commonly known as the King James Bible is the perfect, preserved, inspired Word of God. Jn 6:36, II Tim 3:16, I Pet 1:23-25, II Pet 1:20, 21, Ps 119:160

We believe in one LORD God (Jehovah) infinite as Father, Son, Holy Ghost; The Godhead (Trinity) is all knowing, all powerful, everywhere at one time; He is the Creator, Almighty God, Saviour and the living Word. I Jn 5:7, Col 1:15-17, 2:9, Gen 1:26, 27, Deu 6:2-5, Is 45:22, Heb 1:1-12, Rev 1:1-11, 19:13

We believe in a literal 6 day Creation as stated in the Bible. Mankind was created in the image of God perfect and through disobedience fell into sin and separation from God. We are sinners by nature and by choice. We are lost sinners guilty and condemned by sin to physical and spiritual death (second death in hell- the lake of fire). Gen 1, 2, 3, Rom 3:10, 23, 5:12, 15-21, 6:23, Rev 20:6, 11-15, 21:8, 24-27

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. He is the eternal Son of God and perfectly the Son of man; the only true Messiah and Saviour of the world. He is the eternal, living Word of God. He is the only way to Heaven. Jn 1:1, 14, 3:16, 10:1-11, 14:5, 6, Mt 1:21-23, Rom 8:1, I Jn 4:1-4, 5:11-13, 20

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is returning again in the Rapture (Catching away of the saints) and Second Coming (We come with Christ after the 7 year Tribulation on the earth). We are pretribulational and premillennial in doctrine. The Lord Jesus Christ will rule 1,000 years from the throne of David. Mt 25:31, 26:64, Act 1:9-11, I Thes 4:13-18, 5:1-11, II Tim 4:1-8, II Pet 3:3-15, Rev 19, 20:4-7

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ was born from the virgin Mary, lived on this earth perfectly 33 1/2 years, provided a substitutionary, vicarious sacrifice for all our sins, died on the cross and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures and shed His precious blood for all our sins. There is only one true Gospel by Grace through Faith in Christ. Mt 1:18-20, Rom 3:24, 25, I Cor 15:3, 4, II Cor 5:21, Gal 1:6-9

We believe when the Lord Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead and went to Heaven; the Holy Spirit was sent to be our Comforter and eternally seals and secures the saved. The Holy Spirit regenerates the believer at the moment of salvation. The saved are kept by His Grace and will never lose their salvation. Job 33:1-4, Jn 14:16-18, Rom 5:1, 8, 9, Eph 4:30, Tit 3: 5-7, Heb 13:5-9, I Jn 5:10-13, 6:37-40

We believe salvation is by Grace through Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is never by works. Complete trust in Jesus Christ is what saves. Conviction by the Holy Spirit comes as the Word of God is preached (heard) or published (read) producing faith. A lost sinner chooses either to accept or reject the Gospel of the Grace of God. The saved go to Heaven and the lost go to hell. Dan 12:2, 3, Jn 3:36, 5:24, 10:1-11, 16:6-15, Act 24:15, Rom 1:15-17, 6:23, 10:9, 10, 13, 17, Eph 2:5-9, Gal 2:16

We believe a true New Testament Church is an independent, autonomous, fundamental, Bible-believing, visible, local assembly (congregation) of saved, scripturally, baptized believers. Established and started by Christ in the Gospels; commissioned to preach the Gospel, baptize the saved and disciple them. They were empowered at Pentecost to continue to establish other New Testament Churches; churches start churches. Evangelists (Missionaries) are church planters. We are to practice only two New Testament ordinances and have only two officers in a New Testament Church (Pastors and Deacons- Men of God). The ordinances are only a symbol and sign of our personal testimony of our faith in Christ and willing obedience. Believer’s baptism is by immersion only; by the authority of a New Testament Church. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial for church members only; remembering our Lord’s saving sacrifice (atoning shed blood, broken body- no broken bones) and personal, eminent return (Rapture, Second Coming). The Lord Jesus Christ is the Founder and Head of the New Testament Church. We believe in the historic Baptist (Anabaptist) faith and practice. Mt 10:1-5, 16:16-19, 28:16-20, Act 1:4-15, 2:41-47, 8:12, 13, 25-40, Rom 6:3-5, I Cor 11:1, 2, Eph 3:21, 4:4-6, 11-13, Col 1:18, I Tim, Tit, Heb 12:22-24, Rev 1, 2, 3, 4
